Leading a global standard in patient education
At a time when instant gratification is paramount, technological advances have given rise to health information resources making them available in the palm of our hands. Keeping this in mind, the in vitro diagnostics industry created Lab Tests Online - an information resource developed for patients and care givers to understand laboratory tests. With 17 sites worldwide in 14 languages, managing a global project such as Lab Tests Online has been both rewarding and risky.
As the steward of the brand in Europe, I ensure the project has a global reach and relevance, while maintaining consistency and control. However, maintaining consistency of the messages and strong media relations across a globally dispersed organisation presents many challenges. Therefore, unified direction combined with a sense of community has been important.
